ERC announces hiked fuel prices for the next one month

As the amended road maintenance levy funds for both super petrol and diesel kicks in together with the rising of global oil prices, fuel prices at the pump will increase significantly from midnight Thursday 14th June.
A litre of petrol will go up by 6.76, kerosene by 3.41 while diesel will cost close to 10 shillings more per litre at 9.53.
In this month’s review by the Energy Regulatory Commission, motorists in Mombsasa will cough up to 89.53 shillings for super petrol, and 79.86 shillings for diesel, while kerosene will retail at a maximum of 58.61 shillings.
In Nairobi prices for diesel and super petrol will increase by 6.76 shillings and 9.53 shillings per litre respectively, while households will spend up to 58.61 shillings per litre for kerosene.
Meanwhile, in Kisumu a litre of petrol will retail at 94 shillings and 94 cents, diesel will cost 85 shillings ad 43 cents, whereas kerosene will retail at 63 shillings and 40 cents.
