Theresa May takes over as 2nd female British Prime Minister

British home secretary Theresa May has today officially taken over as the new Prime Minister replacing David Cameron who quit after a shock BREXIT referendum that saw a majority of Britons vote to leave the European Union.
May who has been Interior Minister for since 2010 becomes the second female British Prime Minister, after Margaret Thatcher.
Top of her agenda will be putting together a new cabinet, a complex political balancing act following the bitter split over the BREXIT referendum.
