Amani National Congress Party leader Musalia Mudavadi has expressed concerns over low voter turnout in western region, saying the situation would impact negatively on their presidential ambitions.
He said western region was targeting to register more than 4 million voters but the figures could not be reached due to the laxity of the potential voters failing to register.
Mudavadi singled out Vihiga where 250,000 eligible voters are targeted, saying less than 6,000 voters have been confirmed registered in the county since the registration commenced two weeks ago.
“Since Monday, IEBC clerks have been idle. Few people are registering. You must change your habit and ensure you register as voters,” he urged residents.
