Jubilee leaders from Mt Kenya region have assured Deputy President William Ruto of their support for the country’s top seat in 2022 General Election after President Uhuru Kenyatta completes his two terms in office.
Speaking in Uasin Gishu county on Sunday during a funds-drive in aid of 15 churches, the leaders dismissed the perception that members of the Kikuyu community never votes for any one else other than their own for the top seat.
Led by Oljororok MP John Waiganjo and his Ndaragwa counterpart Waweru Nderitu, they reiterated the region’s resolve to back Ruto for President when his time comes. The legislators said there should be no cause for worry from the people of Rift Valley region regarding the Jubilee presidential candidate in 2022.
“There should be no cause for worry about DP’s fate over his quest to succeed the Head of State when his term in office comes to an end,” added Nderitu.
